Manhattan Special Economic Zone President Clement Yang Invited to Attend Cambodia’s National Fish Day 2026

National Fish Day Held in Svay Rieng, Highlighting the Government’s Commitment to Sustainable Natural Resource Management

On July 1, 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet presided over the National Fish Day celebration in Svay Rieng City, Svay Rieng Province, where 1.5 million fish fingerlings were released into the Vaiko River. The event demonstrated the Royal Government of Cambodia’s strong commitment to natural resource conservation, sustainable fisheries, and livelihood development.

During the event, Prime Minister Hun Manet noted that over the past two years, Cambodia has continued to intensify its crackdown on illegal fishing, with the joint participation of the military, the Fisheries Administration, and relevant authorities. As a result, fish resources have seen a significant increase. This achievement not only reflects the government’s determination to strengthen law-based governance, but also highlights Cambodia’s continued efforts in natural resource protection and social stability.
