Special Economic Zones (SEZs) have become a common feature in various economies around the world, providing businesses with an environment that offers unique benefits and regulations to encourage investment and growth. In Cambodia, SEZs were first approved in 2005, with implementation beginning in 2006. The Cambodian government designated 22 SEZs within its borders, providing businesses within each zone with fiscal incentives and streamlined administrative services.
