On March 26, 2026, Manhattan Special Economic Zone (Manhattan SEZ) President Clement Yang was invited to attend the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Andong Tasey Water Treatment Plant in Svay Rieng Province, where he met and took photos with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. The ceremony brought together governors from twelve Cambodian provinces, the President of Svay Rieng University, representatives from the Svay Rieng Senate, and other senior officials and distinguished guests, collectively witnessing the official completion of this landmark public infrastructure project.

A Major Civil Project Completed, Strategic Location Advantage Reinforced
The Andong Tasey Water Treatment Plant was funded through a grant from the Japanese Government and supported by JICA, with a total investment of approximately USD 30.6 million. The facility adds a daily water supply capacity of 6,800 cubic meters, significantly strengthening clean water access for residents and businesses across Svay Rieng Province. Notably, the plant is located just 40 kilometers from Manhattan SEZ — the continued development of regional infrastructure directly enhances the business environment surrounding the zone, providing more reliable operational support for enterprises established there.
Rooted in Cambodia, Driving High-Quality Regional Development
President Clement Yang noted that the completion of essential infrastructure such as water supply systems forms the core foundation for industrial growth. The improved water supply network in Svay Rieng Province will further optimize the regional business environment. Manhattan SEZ will leverage this occasion as an opportunity to explore deeper collaboration with Svay Rieng Province across infrastructure support, supply chain coordination, and investment attraction, working together to advance high-quality economic development across southeastern Cambodia.
Manhattan SEZ remains firmly committed to the Cambodian market, closely monitoring regional infrastructure developments and actively aligning with local development priorities. Moving forward, the zone will continue to pursue practical cooperation under the principle of “consultation, joint development, and shared benefits,” offering a highly competitive platform for enterprises looking to establish a presence in Southeast Asia.
